about
Originally recorded in 2015, at Freak Mountain Studio, and then revisited at Dobres Studio in 2019 ... then the pandemic hit and it stalled out for a few more years, and was then finally mixed in 2021, and mastered and released in 2022. Seven years in the making, and worth every note!
lyrics
It's a world gone mad, and I'm losing my mind,
there's just so much heartache all of the time,
and I need to get away if only for a little while.
So I'll roll another number, and pour another drink,
'cause I don't wanna know, and I don't wanna think,
'bout the ways we make each other cry.
And I don't wanna see those four black horses ride ...
but to tell you the truth, right now I'm terrified.
It's a long way down when you're falling like rain,
and then there's the ground of the choices we made,
and I wish that we could turn back the hands of time.
We'd go back to the start and learn how to love,
that it comes from within, not from above,
and the gold we seek is buried deep inside.
No I don't wanna see those four black horses ride ...
but to tell you the truth, right now I'm terrified.
It's a world gone mad, and I'm losing my mind,
there's just so much heartache all of the time,
and I need to get away if only for a little while.
Yes, I need to get away if only for a little while.
